Irene Crook (Chair person)
Irene is Whangarei born and raised, with a background in administration and management roles in the NGO’s and business sector. Her most important role is Mum to 4 daughters and ‘Narnie’ to 13 grandies. Her current work as a Real Estate Agent and Counsellor, together with facilitating Divorce Recovery Groups and attending home groups, keeps her well connected to Church and our wider Community.
Nigel Brereton (treasurer)
Nigel is an accountant in Whangarei. He has been involved with our trust for many years and has served on several community trusts.
He is married to Helen and they have three teenage boys.
Kimberly Nielsen (secretary)
Kimberley was born and raised in Whangarei and has recently returned after 7 years in Dunedin. She trained as a primary school teacher, but more recently held administrative positions at the University of Otago before becoming a stay at home mum. Kimberley is married to Michael and they have two young sons.
Sheryl Kitchen is married to Peter and they are both passionate about serving in the community. They have five grown children and 4 grandsons. They have lived in Whangarei 19 years
Bernie moved to Whangarei in 2005 after working 19 years for a corporate insurance company. He worked for himself for 12 years and now work for a horticultural suppler company. Bernie volunteers with the Rock Solid Youth Group and serve as a trustee on the Youth Zone Northland Trust. He and his wife Jacquie have two awesome boys and two equally awesome girls.
Warren has worked with Refinery NZ for 30 years and in his spare time has served as our community Toy Library 'Toy Doctor' for many years. He and his wife Pam are proud grand parents and they take a keen interest in our youth and local community. Warren also serves on the Manaia Camp Board.
