Before arrival at camp - PLEASE INSTRUCT your group in the following:
It is important that we retain good relationships with the neighbours and that they are treated with due respect. The adjoining farm is NOT to be walked across. Access to Castle Rock can be made at low tide easily but at high tide please keep outside the fence lines.
The neighbours’ driveway to the beach is not for campers' use.
Please instruct your campers not to throw rocks OFF the rock wall on the beach. It has been built over many years to encourage sand onto our beach. We would be happy if they put rocks ON it.
The switch for this is above the cool room door in the Hall kitchen and should be on during the camp. The emergency lights will automatically come on in the event of a power failure, but applies only to the Hall building. They will last for about two hours. The lights associated with this system should NEVER be removed and used in the normal system, as they are only 24 volts, while the normal is 230 volts! Spare bulbs for the normal light system (230v) are kept in the pantry.
